The passive voice "voz pasiva" in Spanish consists of a grammatical structure used with the objective of not wanting to emphasize that or who carries out a certain action, its reason for being is to highlight who or what is receiving. In Spanish, the passive voice uses the verb "ser" in conjunction with the past participle.
It is not very common to hear someone speaking daily in a passive voice in Spanish compared to English, however, in written media it is present if we review magazines, newspapers and literature in general. Let's define the two main reasons why its use is applied, firstly when we want to focus on the object or person performing an action, and secondly, when we seek to emphasize the action concretely without identifying who performs it. The person or agent who carries out the act is added to the preceding expression by the connective "Por" and the past participle must maintain a sense according to the subject.
